Terms of Use

Last updated: March 2026

Welcome to Exegete. By accessing or using our website and services at exegeteai.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before using the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Exegete is an AI-assisted sermon research tool designed to help pastors access historical context, scripture cross-references, and denomination-aligned theological insights. The Service is intended to supplement — not replace — the pastor's own study, prayer, and spiritual discernment.

Exegete does not generate sermon content on your behalf. All research materials are intended as resources for a message you have already begun to form.

3. Accounts and Subscriptions

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Exegete offers a free trial and paid subscription plans. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

5. AI-Generated Content

The research materials produced by Exegete are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational and ministerial research purposes only. While we take significant steps to ensure theological accuracy and doctrinal alignment, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and verifying any content before using it in a sermon, teaching, or ministry context. Exegete does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any research output for any particular purpose.

6. Intellectual Property

The Exegete platform, including its design, branding, AI guardrails, and underlying technology, is owned by Exegete LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

Research outputs generated through your use of the Service may be used freely in your personal ministry context.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we determine to be harmful to the Service or its users. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Exegete LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the site or emailing your registered address. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
